About John Stumpff Music Studio
Hello, I’m John Stumpff, and welcome to John Stumpff Music Studio!

With over 20 years of professional experience as a singer, my journey has taken me across the operatic and classical music scenes, as well as the musical theatre and choral genres in the greater Midwest and beyond. I’ve had the honor of performing in more than 30 operas, in lead and supporting roles, as well as in the chorus. My collaborations also include five original opera recordings with the prestigious Florentine Opera, two of which were recognized with Grammy Awards.

In addition to my work in opera, I am an active soloist performing with various ensembles and orchestras throughout the Midwest. I’ve had the pleasure of working with groups such as the Belle Ensemble, the Racine Symphony, and the Choral Arts Society of Southeast Wisconsin, among many others. For over 10 years, I’ve also served as the principal tenor at Queen of All Saints Basilica, where I continue to solo and sing regularly.

Teaching has been a cornerstone of my career. For over two decades, I have been dedicated to helping students find their voice and express their unique musicality through private voice and piano lessons. My experience spans both the Chicago and Milwaukee regions, and my approach emphasizes personalized, student-centered instruction.

At John Stumpff Music Studio, I am excited to guide students of all levels in their musical journey—whether they are pursuing classical training, exploring new genres, or simply wishing to deepen their appreciation for music. I believe that music is a deeply personal and expressive art form, and I’m committed to helping each student discover and develop their individual voice.
Thank you for being part of our musical community, and I look forward to creating and sharing beautiful music with you!
